The IS stands for "important stuff." Book of IS a life binder of invaluable resources. It was created by Robin Lustgarten Miller and her mom Ann Wakefield Lustgarten, both educators. Ann has led courses on organizing and end-of-life planning, which will also be featured in the overall Book of IS offering. Robin will soon be developing a Book of IS: Business Edition as well.

The COLLEGE EDITION prepares students for college life. Yes, this is comprehensive. It's because we wanted to make sure you had everything we could think of. And good news for you, it’s way less than a penny a page. We also designed this to be a fill-in-the-blank document, easily readable, so each item needed to have plenty of space to complete the information requested.  

Seeing how long it took to complete just the proofreading of these materials, I would say a minimum of 5-10 years LOL. Just kidding. Take your time and do it at your own pace. Each of us learns differently.

We realize that it seems like an awesome task. Our suggestion is to glance through the guide and all the sections, then pick those that YOU value as most important for YOU. As time allows (right?) you can fill in the other parts as you desire.

Yes, at the end of each Workbook section is an "At-A-Glance" summary page. If you have limited time, then this is a great place to start.

Sometimes information applies to more than one category, so we didn’t want to assign it to only one.  But you don’t have to look up the information twice. You can just copy it.

You, the parent or guardian, complete the workbook for your student. You transfer all the important stuff in your head and files to them. You'll realize that some pages you can print out and have your child complete when they get to school. You can do many of the pages in advance, and perhaps ask for help from another family member or friend. When they update it, you should receive the latest version so you're both in sync. Be mindful that some students won't want or choose to share information with their parents because they are now adults themselves and aren't required to do so. 

The document is “locked” from editing, so that you don’t accidentally delete critical information you might need. That said, we added an area for “Other” and the end of each section and at the end of the “At-a-Glance Summary” page, also at the end of each section.

If you receive an error that any of the workbook files is read-only, then simply duplicate the file, rename it, then save that new file locally to your machine. It may also be that you need to click the “Enable Editing” button in the ribbon just below the main tool bar in Microsoft Word.

If you misplace a file, then simply login and head to your Library. If you struggle to login, or can't seem to download any of the files you need a second or third time, then please email us at support@heyredady.academy to receive what you need from us directly.
